Sportshall Athletics

On Wednesday the whole class went down to Chiltern Edge to participate in the Sportshall Atletics competition. Three of the other local schools participated as well. There were many events ranging from soft javelin throwing to relay races. It was a really exciting afternoon, and we enjoyed cheering our classmates on. 

Art

We completed our Activism Posters this week. We used collage as a technique, incorporating different textures and colours into our posters. Some people used newspaper pages as backgrounds and lettering, while others used coloured paper. We enjoyed experimenting with colour and texture in these lessons.

PSHE

Linking with our Art theme, we looked at human rights activitists in PSHE. Throughout the term we have been learning about human and children's rights and how we can respect them. So, our last lesson was spent looking at those people who have highlighted issues faced by many people around the world, such as Dr Martin Luther King, Malala Yousafzai, Harriet tubman and Nelson Mandela. 

We are looking forward to a relaxing half-term!
