Safeguarding Statement

All the governors and staff at Peppard share the objective, namely to help keep the children safe.

We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.

Here at Peppard CE Primary School, we make every effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment underpinned by a culture of openness where both children and adults feel secure, able to talk and believe that they are being listened to.

We maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here’ where safeguarding is concerned.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Nick Steele and can be contacted at head@peppardprimary.co.uk

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding lead is Becky Claridge. She can be contacted at DDSL@peppardprimary.co.uk

You can contact, in confidence, the school's safeguarding governor, Hannah Rancombe, by emailing safeguardinggov@peppardprimary.co.uk

We train all our staff in safeguarding and child protection following the guidelines in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.

If you’re worried that a child or young person is at risk or is being abused you contact the children’s social care team at our local council, call 999 if the child is at immediate risk, or if it’s not an emergency, you can report the crime online or call 101.
