Highmoor 28th March

Date: 28th Mar 2024 @ 10:17am

Welcome to the final week of the Spring term in Highmoor!

In maths year 3 have been continuing to work on mass, capacity and volume. Year 4s have been working with decimals breaking down 1 whole into its parts and continuing to get to grips with tenths and hundredths in place value charts and dividing numbers by 10 and 100.

In literacy we had fun making leaflets persuading people to reduce, reuse and recycle their waste. We had done great slogans and powerful images and vocabulary used.

On Monday we had a visit from PCSO Haynes who talked to us about inclusion and accepting everyone no matter our differences.

We created our own large scale obstacle course on the Common in PE which we then drew maps of and followed each other routes around the course. We also continued improving our hockey skills.

In art, inspired by a photo taken on our trip to Kew, we painted a wash to cover our line drawings. Then the challenge was to create as many shades of green as possible. The results were lovely.

Thank you to everyone for coming to the church service on Wednesday, it was lovely to see so many of you there.

We had lots of fun egg rolling on the hill today after decorating our eggs in our teams. We are very grateful to FOPS for providing yummy eggs for us all!

We hope you all have a lovely Easter and enjoy the holiday. See you in April!
