Peppard Class 28/9/23

Date: 28th Sep 2023 @ 4:40pm

What a fun week we've had in Peppard class. We have already started blending words in phonics and we've been having fun and been busy in maths learning about size, height, length and capacity. We built towers and discussed taller and shorter and we even got to make wiggly worms from play dough and compare their lengths to see which was shorter or longer.

Worms have been quite a theme this week. We did a PE lesson using Julia Donaldson's Superworm to think about movements and sequences. When we finished our lesson we went on the common to look for Superworm and we found him and some of his friends! We did some super fast running to see if our heart beats got faster when we finish, then we discussed what our hearts do and how exercising can keep them healthy.

We went to Forest School on Thursday and that was very exciting. Some of us thought going on the mini bus was the main event but then we had even more fun exploring and playing with our friends. We found more worms too! We loved getting muddy and having hot chocolates at base camp!
