Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

This week in phonics we have been practising reading words with digraphs and longer words. We have also been writing cvc (consonant, vowel, consonant) words. The progress is fantastic. Thank you so much for reading at home. Consistency is key to great progress, love of reading and confidence.

In maths we have been exploring number bonds and conceptual subitising. We have enjoyed activities and games to promote understanding and fluency.

We have been learning and practising our story and songs about Jack and the Beanstalk.

In our topic lessons we have read the story The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle and we planted our own sunflowers.

We had a wonderful outing to see a show, Along came Maggie, and it fitted in with our growing topic perfectly.
