Peppard class - 9.2.24

Date: 9th Feb 2024 @ 2:48pm

Welcome to our week in Peppard class.

It has been a short term but we have travelled around the world!  We learned about parts of Asia this week as we talked about the Luna New year celebrations.

The children learned about how one family celebrate the Luna New Year in Liverpool.  We then did some activities.  We read the story called 'The Great Race' which was all about the story of how the years were named for the Luna New Year.  The illustrations in the book were beautiful.

In phonics we learned how to read longer words.  We have been doing quite a bit of writing practise.  Please do read and recap sounds and tricky words over the half term break.

In maths we have been learning about odds and evens, doubling and conceptual subitising.  The children are developing and demonstrating their understanding through the activities that we offer during continuous provision times.

Have a wonderful break.
